Getting close to the weekend away now so I have got the old kids tent out, sewn up a few holes and here we are!



I hope it doesn't rain now because it looks like a play tent to me....

Anyway lets hope we all have fun. It's certainly going to be busy. My ticket number is 3066. That's a lot of Mini's!

p.s. I'm taking my wellies just in case.

Well as the IMM was starting to Kick off on the Friday 7th Aug myself and the family was on a road trip to Scicily for 3 weeks.

On the M1 at around 11am started to see small convoy's of Mini's heading towards Birmingham. Very sad to be missing it but it was a fab sight on the motorway seeing all the minis packed up to the hilt with tents , some flying flags etc

Anyways we stopped at the new services at Dover approx 30mins drive from the port and yes more minis arrived:

They were a happy bunch and I spent ages talking to them.

Anyway off we went to catch our 1pm ferry to Calais and sitting on the quey side awaiting to embark on the ferry ..yes you guessed it more minis...



I ran to the front of the que to take the pictures and to wave and thumbs up...some strange looks but most returned my wave probably thinking who the heck is this daft women

Well our jounary was fab took in most sights down to the south of France including a trip to Disney for the girls.

So I've finally been to NIce, Cannes, Monte Carlo - was tempted to do the Top Gear mountain road (the one they did in the Aston,lambo & 911)

Ferry ship from Genoa to Palermo- Scilly and 2 weeks in 44 degree heat on a beach.

Return jounary we did the Aples and Mont Blanc.

Only saw 3 minis while in Sciliy 1 innocento and 2 non sportpack Coopers.

Back to the rat race now and a house thats for sale...megga stress or what need another holiday

now thats a road trip ......... nice one rachel .... hows philip
